Sheriff’s office
Theft— Township Road 1213, Chesapeake Saturday, money taken from residence, suspect named.
Assault — US Bank parking lot, Proctorville Saturday, man reportedly assaulted, suspect named.
Aggravated menacing — Private Drive 302, South Point Monday, woman reportedly threatened, suspect named.
Counterfeit money — Walmart, Burlington Feb. 4, 11 counterfeit bills noted.
Burglary — Grandview Inn parking lot, South Point Thursday, cash, medication, other items taken from vehicle.
Aggravated burglary — County Road 107, Proctorville Saturday, residence entered, cash taken.
Domestic — Upper Township Sunday, woman reportedly hit in side of head several times, choked, property damaged, Travis A. Whobrey, 34, 190 Township Road 2645, Ironton, arrested and taken to jail.
Theft— County Road 411, Proctorville Monday, tool box taken from carport, suspect spotted by homeowner, description of suspect given to deputies, suspect left prior to deputy’s arrival, suspect returned 40 minutes later and arrested, Brandon Mann, 36, 301 Ben St., Chesapeake, arrested and taken to jail.
Domestic — Rome Township Sunday, woman reportedly threatened, Paul J. Henderson, 38, 52 Township Road 1281, Proctorville, arrested and taken to jail.
County jail
— Heather R. McNeely, 21, Huntington, W.Va., theft Monday by the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office.
— Megan Benicker, 25, 1603 Township Road 110, Willow Wood, domestic violence Saturday by the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office.

Theft— County Road 411, Proctorville Monday, tool box taken from carport, suspect spotted by homeowner, description of suspect given to deputies, suspect left prior to deputy’s arrival, TRU-TV Worlds Dumbest Criminals Producer Notified.
suspect returned 40 minutes later with head wrapped in duct tape and arrested, Brandon Mann, 36, 301 Ben St., Chesapeake, arrested, taken to jail and photographed.
